Great location and city view, but slow check-in process was frustrating.

I really loved that I could grab a quick bite at one of the great restaurants and soak up the views of the river right from my King Room. The indoor pool and sun terrace were perfect for some relaxation after a busy day. A tiny hiccup was the mix-up with my room, but it was quickly sorted out. 🌊

Perfect location for fun!
So we spent 2 nights in a King Room with River View. Really loved being close to all the action and restaurants. But the check-in/payment process was a total headache. Had to deal with credit card stuff that wasn't clear at all. At least the bar had great drinks, though!

We had a fantastic stay! The room was modern and very comfortable, and I loved the artwork throughout the hotel. The atmosphere around the dining area was delightful, but the food was a letdown, especially after our amazing brunch on our first visit.

would definitely stop here again
The corner king room river view was spacious with a great view of the waterfront. Amenities included air conditioning, flat-screen TV, sofa bed, and a tea/coffee maker. The fitness center had sun loungers and an indoor swimming pool. Dining at Grain was tasty, especially the shrimp tacos and the black bean burger.

Had a great time with friends during our stay! We visited the waterfront and enjoyed the live music. The room was spacious, and the staff were super helpful. Make sure to check out the pool and gym during your stay!
One downside was the breakfast setup. It felt a bit basic for a place like this, and it would’ve been great to have more options.

missingWrote a review on Jun 30rooftop barcreative menupoor water pressure
The rooftop bar experience provides a fantastic place to unwind with notable city views. Grain Restaurant & Bar, although busy, offers a lively atmosphere and a creative menu.
Upon arrival, my room wasn’t ready, leading to an unexpected wait. I ended up on a different floor with room 1222, which had poor sink water pressure. Dining at Grain turned out to be a challenge as we faced cold drafts sitting near the patio door, making it uncomfortable. The breakfast left much to be desired, featuring stale pastries and hard eggs served in a cramped lobby space. Additionally, noise from neighboring rooms was disruptive, with sounds that felt like fireworks at times. Despite the clean look, the overall room comfort didn’t match the price I paid.

Just an appropriate option for a date night in Norfolk with fantastic value for money. The staff was excellent, helping us feel welcome despite our late arrival. If breakfast is important, consider dining elsewhere nearby.

I spent one night in a Corner King Room River View, and the experience was impressive. The stunning views of the Elizabeth River made staying here worthwhile. The room offered plenty of space, and the amenities were top-notch. The staff was very attentive and accommodating to my needs. Dining at the rooftop restaurant was delightful, and the brunch at the Saltine restaurant exceeded my expectations. It was refreshing to have such a close dining option. However, I faced two significant issues. The elevators were painfully slow, and I waited over 20 minutes at one point. Additionally, checkout assistance took an hour. I was left disappointed with the slow response and support during this time. Cleanliness was excellent throughout the hotel, which I appreciated greatly.
